A SUNSHINE teenager accused of shoplifting and being a passenger in a stolen car that led police on three high-speed chases through southern NSW will front children’s court next month.
The boy, 16, was charged with receiving stolen property and with being carried in a stolen vehicle after being arrested in Gundagai on July 15.
Police said he was a passenger in a car that was involved in a chase which reached speeds of up to 195km/h and resulted in a police car crashing into a railing and a truck.
The boy, who is also accused of stealing a $10 set of screwdrivers from a supermarket, was bailed to appear in children’s court on August 20.
