SUNSHINE has cast aside all doubts to confirm its position in the finals of the Western Region Football League division 1.
The Kangaroos will now ramp up their pursuit of a finals double chance, which they will get if they can finish in the top three.
The blue and golds are fourth on the ladder, but are on the same number of wins as last year’s grand finalists, Spotwood and Altona, with a month still to go in the regular season.
The Kangaroos took care of Hoppers Crossing by 18 points in a tricky game at Hogans Road Oval on Saturday.

The glue pot in the middle of the ground caused by heavy overnight rain made it heaven for the contested ball specialists.
Aaron Shellie, Macauley Goring and Russell Douglas relished the conditions for the Kangaroos.
Shellie capped an electrifying best- on-ground display with two goals, including a fine opener for his team in the first term.
Patrick Wiggins was the pick of the tall forwards with three goals, while Tom Millar offered a presence with two.
The Kangaroos will square off with St Albans in a blockbuster at Kinder Smith Reserve on Saturday.
