Bollywood fund-raiser: Brimbank residents can enjoy a night of Bollywood on Friday while raising funds for a western suburbs school breakfast program. Held at The Luxor in Taylors Lakes, there will be music, games and a three-course meal. Dress code is Indian. Wordsmiths: The Brimbank Writers & Readers Festival, from September 5-16, encourages a love of writing and literature.  Free events include panel discussions and author talks; interviews; workshops for kids, teens and adults; readings and storytelling.
