A TAYLORS Lakes man is desperate for information after his blue staffordshire terrier was stolen from his backyard yesterday morning.
Patrick Farrugia told The Weekly he has CCTV footage at about 9.45am of an individual entering the rear of his property and throwing “Jazz” over the fence into a paddock.
Mr Farrugia had left his property at 8.30am to help his brother in law.
“My neighbour has CCTV footage of an individual jumping my fence and throwing the dog over the fence. I’m desperate,” he said.
However, he said Keilor Downs police have been unable to investigate due to a lack of resources.
He said thefts of staffies were common in the area.
“They’re a much sought after dog,” he said. “They’re a rare breed. Please spread the word as we sadly miss our Jazz.”
The Weekly understands Keilor Downs police have requested Mr Farrugia produce vision of the theft.
Keilor Downs police have been contacted for comment.
