A MAJOR shake-up of health services in Melbourne’s west is under way with the Footscray-based Western Region Health Centre seeking to merge with Doutta Galla Community Health and North Yarra Community Health.
CEOs Lyn Morgain, Caz Healy and Vera Boston, who announced the proposal to 620 staff last week, say a larger organisation would attract more funding and have a stronger voice fighting for health services.
Ms Morgain said there should be no disruption to services.
