DEER Park Football Club’s under-11 team, including Alessandro Politi (pictured), supported the Step Back Think round on June 9.
The initiative aims to raise awareness of the dangers of street violence. The match was dedicated to coach Frank Politi’s nephew David, who died after being king-hit on New Year’s Eve, 2012.
David’s mother Caterina spoke to the team and tossed the coin before players observed a minute’s silence.
