IMMIGRATION and Citizenship Minister Brendan O’Connor (pictured above left) joined Brimbank residents for a Refugee Week celebration at Victoria University in Sunshine.
“There’s probably not a more appropriate place to be than the western suburbs of Melbourne,’’ the Gorton MP said.
‘‘The west is home to an extraordinary number of refugees from all parts of the globe.”
Refugee Week ended on Saturday.
