Re: Sunshine College misses out on funding (Weekly, April 30):

The reason the school missed out is that Bernie Finn and Andrew Elsbury aren’t working hard enough on the west. Finn is too busy running his Right to Life and anti-Islam agenda and doing nothing for the west. Elsbury is missing in action. I’m not a fan of the Greens, but take a leaf out of Colleen Hartland’s book and get out there and start doing the hard yards. Engage with the community. Say what needs to be said. Don’t take no for an answer. Telmo Languiller and his mates let the school fall apart over 11 years and now he’s complaining that the Liberals haven’t allocated any money. Sorry, Telmo, but you have zero credibility.

Re: Main Road crossing cash offer ‘not rejected’ (Weekly, April 30):

My God! The amount of ways state and federal governments can bounce issues to avoid doing anything is staggering. And to honestly suggest that the issue is a lack of pressure on state government from residents is just insulting, Bill Shorten. There is a petition out there already, organised by the mother of the most recent victim of that crossing.

Re: Sunshine jobless rate edges higher (Weekly, April 23):

Bill Shorten was elected on a promise to tackle unemployment in Sunshine and has done nothing. Thanks, Bill!

Re: Challenge to Sunshine Kealba quarry site verdict (Weekly, April 16):

Residents and council working together. This makes a pleasant change!
