TAYLORS Lakes started its season in style with a commanding 78-point win over cellar-dwellers Craigieburn in division one.
Adrian Longo and David Cantelmi each kicked six goals as the Lions broke the shackles after an even first quarter. A 12-goal to five second half ensured Taylors Lakes comfortably took top spot after the opening round.
In division two, Keilor Park waltzed to an easy 186-point win over East Sunbury. Jake Thomas kicked nine without raising a sweat and Josh Nesbitt and Salvatore Castello both kicked bags of five as the Devils kept the hapless Thunder goalless.
Hillside also had a thumping win to start the season, beating Coburg Districts by 91 points in the Districts’ return to the EDFL. Fabio Dilizia slammed home six for the Sharks.
