Caroline Springs man loses BMW coupe after being clocked at almost double speed limit

A Caroline Springs man had his car impounded after he was caught driving almost 70km/h above the speed limit. Police nabbed the 29-year-old driving his BMW M3 coupe at 137km/h in a 70 zone on Taylors Road about 5.30am last Tuesday.

His vehicle was impounded for 30 days. He is expected to be charged on summons with traffic offences and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court in May.
