To their dancing destiny

When your child decides it’s time to put on their dancing shoes but aren’t sure which style is for them, Dance Effects in Deer Park is the place to start.

“We have something for everyone with classes in jazz, tap, ballet, breakdance, hip-hop, acrobatics, Glee club, and private singing tuition,” principal Rebecca Demicoli says.

Courses and exams are available in the Royal Academy of Dance and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus. With 33 years’ experience and holder of a dance diploma, Rebecca has the knowledge and experience to teach youngsters, and it shows up in their successes.

“Students have been accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts and professional dance shows, while others have excelled in dance exams with a 100 per cent pass rate.

“We’re very proud to be able to offer such a wide variety of classes for students aged six to eighteen. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, we have a variety of classes that will suit your ability and style.” The studio has three airconditioned dance rooms with full-length mirrors, sprung floorboards and ballet barres, and there’s a large waiting area with couches and a cafe for parents.

Dance Effects began 12 years ago in a Caroline Springs community hall with 25 students and 100 people watching their first concert.

Today, the studio has more than 430 students. Last year it had five sell-out shows with more than 2500 audience members.
