BRIMBANK administrators have approved three more contentious developments as the council’s ‘Home and Housed’ strategy kicks in.
Applications for two dwellings in Whitty Street, Sunshine, and three double-storey dwellings in Hutchinson Street, Albion, were ticked off last week.
Whitty Street received six objections, while Hutchinson Street received 11.
A third application for 97 dwellings at 79 Wright Street, Sunshine, was approved after the council received one objection.
Chairman Peter Lewkinsky said VicRoads approved of a permit at the site and traffic engineers had green-lighted plans for the dwellings.
The site is set to be changed from an industrial one zone to residential.
“There is a great need for more housing in Brimbank and making sure there is enough housing for all resident remains a top priority for the council,” Mr Lewinsky said.
