FIVE teachers at Overnewton College in Keilor are doing their bit for men’s health after growing moustaches during ‘Movember’.
Media teacher Nick Booth (pictured right with Jay Dineen and Edward Schellander) said the teachers had already raised $750 but were hoping to reach $1000 before today’s grand ‘shave-off’.
“It’s been a bit of fun for the students and teachers and it’s such an important cause to raise awareness about.”
Mr Schellander, who has sported his moustache for 30 years, promised to shave his upper lip if $500 was raised for his efforts alone.
“It’s a great cause and although I’m feeling very nervous about having a naked top lip for the first time in more years than I care to remember, I do hope sufficient funds are raised for this very important cause.”
