Suspended driver loses car

A DRIVER has had his father’s car impounded after Laverton police caught him driving through boom gates at an Ardeer level crossing on November 12.

The man, 27, will have to pay $703 to have the car released. Police said they would apply to seize it again for a further 60 days because it was the driver’s second offence.

The man, whose licence was already suspended for 12 months, will appear at Sunshine Magistrates Court this month.
