Westside Strikers fall to another defeat

Westside Strikers’ tough run has continued in FFV state league 4 west.

Having lost their past three games heavily, the Strikers were looking to bounce back against North Melbourne Athletic on Saturday.

With both sides around the middle of the table, the Strikers were aiming to increase the gap on their opponents.

Instead, the Strikers suffered a 4-0 loss, slipping to sixth and with the gap to the top four teams growing.

One side looking to overtake the Strikers, Spring Hills, returned to the winners list against Bell Park.

Having lost their past six matches, the 3-0 win is a confidence booster for the players.

Rocky Calfapietra, Rhys Main and Daniel Salic were the goal scorers for the Stallions.

The win, the Stallions’ fourth of the season, brings them up to 14 points.

They are eighth on the ladder.
