VTCA T20 final four decided

Keilor, Druids, Spotswood and Strathmore will fight it out for the Victoria Turf Cricket Association T20 title.

The final quarter final pool matches were played on Tuesday night to decide the which teams finished on top of the four quarter final groups.

Keilor, which had a bye on Tuesday night, had already secured its finals spot before the final round match between Maribyrnong Park St Marys and Williamstown Congs which was due to be played on Tuesday night.

The Congs though forfeited meaning the match didn’t go ahead and St Marys took the points and the win.

Druids won through to the next round with a win against Keilor Park.

Needing a win to ensure they continued in the competition, Druids made 4-137 from their overs.

Skipper Leigh Wilson top scored with 49.

The Druids then did a demolition job with the ball, bowling Keilor Park out for just 66. Steven Nicholson took 3-6 off his two overs.

The win meant the Druids finished atop their quarter final group, with two wins.

A win on Tuesday night also sealed Spotswood’s spot in the final four.

Spotswood made 3-141 before restricting Melton South Royals to 7-99.

Star of the night was Spotswood’s Ross Horkings who made 70 not out.

In the fourth quarter final group, a win by Strathmore against Sunshine Heights sealed its spot in the round.
