In a recent intra-club practice match, Tom Liberatore gave Western Bulldogs fans a little taste of what to expect from him during his comeback season after a year out with a knee injury.
Dogs fans will once again get to see Liberatore burrowing under the packs after he was named for the Bulldogs in their NAB Challenge game against Melbourne this Sunday at Highgate Recreation Reserve in Craigieburn.
It will be a vastly different Bulldogs line-up to the one that beat GWS Giants in Canberra in the opening NAB Challenge game.
Of the younger brigade, third-year key forward Tom Boyd will make his season debut, along with rookies Josh Dunkley, Bailey Williams, Brad Lynch and Luke Goetz.
Powerfully-built forward Jack Redpath and key defenders Joel Hamling and Fletcher Roberts have also been named in the team after missing the Giants clash.
New recruit Jed Adcock, formerly of the Brisbane Lions, will also be unveiled.
It will be a young Bulldogs side with 11 senior players being rested, including Marcus Bontempelli, Easton Wood, Robert Murphy, Jake Stringer, Lachie Hunter, Tory Dickson and Jason Johannisen.
