Keilor Thunder has announced the signing of Australian Opal and 3×3 Champion Maddie Garrick for the 2022 NBL1 South season.

The 30-year-old recorded 16 points, five rebounds and four assists in her debut match for the Thunder, equalling the most rebounds and assists of any player in her team.

The Thunder weren’t able to win however, going down by 22-points to Bedigo in their opening match of the season.

Thunder won the first quarter of the match 20-19 but weren’t able to sustain the lead as Bendigo won the final three quarters including the second quarter by 12-points.

Thunder will take on Hobart Charges next Friday 29 April at Kingborough Sports Centre in Tasmania.
