Sydenham-Hillside delivers against Westmeadows

A strong opening partnership guided Sydenham-Hillside to a big win against Westmeadows in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Women’s competition.

The top two teams from last season had already done battle once this season, with the Storm coming out on top.

A similar result eventuated this time around.

The Storm made 1-137 from its overs, with captain Catherine Morrow leading the way with an unbeaten 70.

Her opening partner, Brooke Todero, made 31.

The Storm restricted Westmeadows to 5-83.

Todero took two wickets for the Storm, as did Caetlyn Twentyman.

The win keeps the Storm on top of the ladder, while Westmeadows sits third.
