Liam Johnston (pictured) and his Hillside teammates produced one of the comebacks of the season to force a draw with Oak Park in the Essendon District Football League on Saturday. The Sharks showed incredible fight after trailing by 42 points at quarter-time and slowly but surely chipped away at the margin. They shut down Oak Park’s attack and conceded only one goal in the second half while kicking six of their own. When the final siren went, the Sharks had kicked 11.16 (82) – Oak Park’s 12.10 (82). James Micallef and Victor Micallef were the standouts for the Sharks, while Victor Micallef, Jarrod Catania and Liam Johnstone each kicked two goals. The Sharks remain ninth on the division 1 ladder.
