Garry Ramsay will again coach the Northern Football League’s AFL Victoria Community Championships side for a second straight season.

Ramsey, senior coach of Macleod, had his re-appointment announced last week.

Ramsay led the NFL to an impressive 125-point thumping of the Western Region Football League in last year’s match up.

The NFL, which enters the championships ranked fourth, will host Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League on Saturday May 19.

The winner of that match will play off for the coveted position of the number one ranked league in Victoria.

Jono Manzoney, Brett Jeffery and Trevor Robinson will again provide support to Ramsay as assistant coaches, while

Whittlesea coach Jim Atkins and Montmorency’s Grant Woodward join an expanded coaching panel.

Ramsay said the coaching panel had a broad knowledge of the all the top division teams.

He said the coaches had already turned their attention to assembling a strong playing squad – a strength of the league the past couple of years.

Rod Cann will continue to coach the under-19 interleague side.
