Green Gully and St Albans recorded wins, while Melbourne Knights came away with a draw in the National Premier League on the weekend.

Green Gully thrashed Altona Magic 4-0, scoring two goals in each half to get the win away from home.

The Cavaliers now sit in third position on the ladder with 9 wins and a draw from 15 games.

St Albans broke its four game losing streak, defeating Dandenong City 2-1 on the road.

The Saints sit in ninth spot, but just eight points behind third.

Melbourne Knights played its fourth game in 11 days on Saturday, recording a 1-1 draw against fifth placed Avondale.

The Knights are in 10th position, one behind behind St Albans.

On Saturday in NPL 3, North Sunshine Eagles defeated Ballarat City 4-1 at Larissa Reserve.

The win puts the Eagles in fifth position and in reach of the top two, sitting just five points behind the promotional positions.

Western United scored in the 81st minute to go 1-0 up before Geelong tied the game in the dying stages to end the game in a draw in Geelong.

United are third on the ladder with six wins and two draws on 20 points from 11 season games.

In NPL Women’s, Calder United recorded a big 5-0 win over Football Victoria Emerging away from home.

United sit in second position on the ladder just one point behind Heidelberg United and with a better goal difference.
