My Brimbank: Marc Bullen

What’s your connection to Brimbank?

I am the current senior head coach of reigning WRFL premier Deer Park FC.

What do you like best about the area?

John McLeod Reserve is a fantastic place.

What could make the area better?

More places for better outdoor recreational activities would be nice

Where do you like to go for a feed in the area?

The Deer Park Club and Rustique are my two favourite places to take my family for a quality feed.

What’s your thoughts on how Deer Park is going so far this season?

We have a good record so far, with some key players in the mix to return to the side in the coming weeks, so overall I’m happy enough at this stage of the year.

What’s been the keys behind your success in your time at Deer Park?

The club has been very stable on and off the field for the past 10 years, Mark McGoldrick has been front and centre since the beginning and he is the main reason why the club is where it is at.

His hard work and dedication is exceptional.

Four flags in a row, does it get harder to motivate the group, or are they still hungry?

It certainly gets harder each year and I know that this year is going to be the toughest challenge in my time at the club. We have a fantastic bunch of players who I believe will be able to overcome any obstacles that get in our way in our quest for another premiership.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I can hit my Taylor Made R1 driver 300 metres flush (just ask Kwame McHarg).
