Late goal joy for the Sydenham Park

Sydenham Park found a dramatic late winner to earn a 1-1 draw with Keilor Park in Football Victoria men’s state league 1 north-west.

The Reds earned a share of the points when Juso Julardzija found the back of the net in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time.

That was a real blow for Keilor Park, which led for most of the game after a first-half goal from captain Goran Jozeljic.

The point is crucial for Sydenham Park, keeping it within three points of league leaders Preston Lions, while Keilor Park remains mid-table.

North Sunshine Eagles made some inroads on the top two with a 2-0 win over Banyule City. Ajak Panek and Daniel Dragovic scored for the Eagles.

Green Gully Cavaliers consolidated fifth spot on the ladder in a 0-0 draw with South Melbourne.

In NPL 2 west, St Albans Saints pummelled North Geelong Warriors 3-0.
