Lakers look to hold top spot in round three

Caroline Springs will look to maintain their undefeated run this season when they host St Albans in the Western Region Football League division 1 senior competition on tomorrow.

St Albans have lost two and won one match so far this season while Caroline Springs are two wins from two matches and sit on top of the ladder.

In other matches, neighbours Hoppers Crossing and Werribee Districts will face off on Monday April 25 in the

A big clash between unbeaten teams Spotswood and Altona is set to be the highlight of the round with both teams looking to remain undefeated.

Last season, Altona were the team to beat with the most wins of any team in the league with 10, as they finished on top before the season was brought to an early finish due to Covid.

One of Altona’s losses came in round 12 against Spotswood who won by 19 points playing at home.

Spotswood finished in sixth position last year, recording six wins.

It will be the game to watch this round.

In others matches, Sunshine will take on Yarraville Seddon Eagles with both teams striving to pick up their first wins of the season.

Point Cook who are also winless will take on Deer Park (1-1) at home.
