Melbourne Knights broke a three game losing streak, defeating Dandenong City 2-1 playing at Knights Stadium on Friday night in round 14 of the National Premier League.

The Knights scored the first goal through Gian Albano in the 56th minute before City quickly replied with an equaliser two minutes later.

Anthony Duzel scored the winner in the 73rd minute.

St Albans lost its fourth straight game, losing 1-0 to third placed Port Melbourne on Saturday.

Green Gully lost 3-0 to second placed Oakleigh Cannons on Friday evening.

In the NPL women’s, Calder United won 2-0 against Box Hill to sit in second position on the ladder.

Western United won 3-1 over North Sunshine Eagles at City Vista in Caroline Springs.
