The Essendon District Football League women’s grand finals this Saturday will now be held at the Hangar in Tullamarine.
The under-18.5 division 1 girls, division 2 women’s and division 1 women’s grand finals were set to be played at Coburg City Oval.
In a statement released on Tuesday night, the EDFL said due to circumstances out of the league’s control the grand finals had been moved to the Hangar.
Entry will be free for all patrons with start times remaining the same.
EDFL chief executive Andrew Johnston thanked the Essendon Football Club for being so accommodating.
“The EDFL is fortunate to have access to an incredible surface with magnificent facilities on such short notice, and it’s exciting to see EDFL footy head to The NEC Hangar for the first time,” he said.
“It reinforces the great relationship the league has with the Essendon Football Club and we thank them immensely for their ongoing support.”
The action will start at 10am with the under-18.5s, with Pascoe Vale-Hadfield against Moonee Valley.
The women’s division 2 grand final will start at 12.10pm and will be between Coburg Districts and the Sunbury Lions.
The division 1 women’s grand final between Greenvale and Burnside Heights, will finish the day, starting at 2.25pm.
