It was a mixed weekend for Caroline Springs’ senior hockey sides in Hockey Victoria’s winter competition.

The pennant F grade side remains undefeated after four rounds with an 8-0 win against Melbourne University. Brittany Webster was the star for Caroline Springs scoring six goals. Webster leads the divisions goalscoring.

Fiona Branford and Aimee Jungfer scored the other goals.

Caroline Springs has now scored 19 goals in its first three games and sit on top of the ladder. They’ve also had a bye.

In women’s metro B-west, Caroline Springs tied 1-1 with Sunshine. Jessica Spence, who leads the division’s goalscoring, was the goalscorer for Caroline Springs.

Despite the draw, it remains on top of the ladder.

The side won all of its three previous games, scoring 19 goals along the way.

The men’s side suffered a 6-0 loss to Maccabi in men’s pennant G grade. It’s been a bit tougher start to the season for the men’s side compared to the two women.

The men’s side sits eighth with one win from its opening four matches.

In the juniors, the under-10 Springers (blue) drew 2-2 with Footscray Wolfpack. The other under-10 team, Springers (black) defeated Footscray Hawks 3-2.
