Finals spots on the line in the final round

The battle for the last spot in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association senior division finals will go down to the final round.

Yarraville Club holds fourth spot heading into the final round and a win will ensure they play finals.

Keilor and St Albans sit six points outside the top four.

The Druids sealed its finals spot with victory against the Clubbers on Saturday.

The Clubbers made 6-151 from their overs, with the Druids finishing 4-152 in reply, making the runs with more than six overs to spare.

Keilor had its worst performance of the back half of the season against Haig Fawkner.

The Blues were bowled out for just 85, with Khalid Hassan taking four wickets.

Second-placed Haig Fawkner finished 6-86 in reply.

St Albans beat Westmeadows in a thriller, with the Warriors falling four runs short of victory.

The Saints made 5-203 from their overs, with Simon Lambert top scoring with 65.

The Warriors were bowled out for 200.

Chinthaka Jayasinghe top scored with 56.

In other matches, Sunshine United lost to Aberfeldie. The Tigers finished 9-160 in reply to Abers 7-175.

Craigieburn was too good for the Doutta Stars, chasing down the Stars’ 145, three wickets down.

The Eagles finished 3-146.

In division 1, Seddon got the points against Altona North, in what could be a finals match up.

Seddon made 8-188 in reply to Altona North’s 7-183.

Deer Park, Airport West St Christophers, Sunshine and West Coburg were the other winners

In division 2, ladder leaders Sydenham-Hillside suffered an upset loss to Keilor Park

The Devils made 8-133 from their overs, before bowling the Storm out for 118.

The Storm remain at the top of the table.

The other winners were St Andrews Pascoe Vale, Williamstown CYMS, West Newport and Royal Park-Brusnwick.

The fight for a finals spot in division 3 will go down to the final round.

Williamstown Imperials sit in fourth spot after having a big win against Laverton.

The Imperials made 4-274 on the back of 143 from Scott Phillips.

Laverton finished 9-140 in reply.

Sunbury now sits fifth after losing to Footscray United. United made 5-113 in reply to Sunbury’s 8-112.

Sunbury can only make the finals if it wins in the final round and hope that the Imperials lose.

Sunshine Heights, Grand United and Point Cook were the other winners.
