WRFL finals form guide

Division 1

Deer Park (54 points, 182%): The two-time defending champions are looking at their most vulnerable in three years after two heavy losses to finalists at the back end of the season. But the minor premiers are still the team to beat.

Hoppers Crossing (48, 167%): Young and bold, they have no fear of more experienced finals contenders. Thrashed Deer Park in the last round and Werribee Districts a week before that, which is sure to boost their confidence.

Werribee Districts (44, 149%): Can beat anyone, anywhere, on their day but also prone to brain fades.

Spotswood (44, 109%): Nothing like the Spotswood of old but with enough experience and talented youngsters to make a run deep into the finals.

Altona (32, 96%): Can go into the finals without the weight of expectation and could surprise. May be a class below the rest of the finals contenders but you have to be in it to win it.

Finals week 1 (Chirnside Park, Werribee)

Qualifying final (Saturday): Hoppers Crossing v Werribee Districts

Elimination final (Sunday): Spotswood v Altona

Division 2

Wyndhamvale (64, 200%): The minor premier has earned the right to go into the finals as premiership favourites after a consistent season.

West Footscray (60, 196%): Made it a two-horse race the whole way and no reason why that cannot be the case in the finals. As good a chance as any.

North Footscray (44, 141%): Newly renovated team getting better the longer the season goes. Could be the dark horse.

Yarraville-Seddon (40, 142%): A little inconsistent this season, leaving queries over their ability to last the distance.

Finals week 1 (Hogans Road Reserve, Hoppers Crossing)

Second semi final (Saturday): Wyndhamvale v West Footscray

First semi final (Sunday): North Footscray v Yarraville-Seddon

wrfl albanvale

Division 3

Albanvale (62, 244%): Short-priced flag favourite after a runaway minor premiership.

Parkside (48, 128%): Strung together nine consecutive wins, including a confidence-booster over Albanvale. Loom as the biggest threat to Albanvale.

Sanctuary Lakes (44, 147%): Will hit the ground running after winning their last five home-and-away games.

Wyndham Suns (42, 122%): New boys were a revelation earlier in the season until a wretched run of injuries. Limped to the finals and missed a double chance. Question of whether they have the depth.

Finals week 1 (Wootten Road Reserve, Tarneit)

Second semi-final (Saturday): Albanvale v Parkside

First semi-final (Sunday): Sanctuary Lakes v Wyndham Suns
