Coaching changes at Sydenham Park, Keilor Park

The coaching changes in FV state league 1 north-west have already started with at least two clubs looking for new coaches.

Both Sydenham Park and Keilor Park announced heading into the final round that neither of their coaches would continue on.

Sydenham Park on its social media said they were saddened to announce that Denii Lisolajski has decided to step down from his position.

“Denni has spent the last few seasons as senior head coach with his appointment at the back of 2018, with the exception of two seasons being disrupted by COVID19 and we cannot thank him enough for his outstanding services,” the post said.

“His passion and dedication to his team and the club are second to none and have provided the right ingredients to build and develop high performing teams shaping the future of the club.

“Denii would like to thank the committee, sponsors, players, volunteers, and supporters for having belief in his processes and the continued support.

“Sydenham Park Soccer Club has always been and will still be his family and is proud of what has been achieved and the journey he has been on from coaching at junior level to senior level at the club.”

“Denii gave everything he had every day, meticulously planning training sessions and game day strategies in collaboration with his coaching staff.”

Sydenham Park finished the season in third spot, one spot shy of promotion.

Keilor Park, which finished the season in eighth, announced Paul Falzon will not continue as the head coach next year.

“Paul is a loyal and long-standing member of the club which commenced in its playing days over 30 years ago,” the club said on social media.

“Paul has helped build the club and we would like to thank him for his immense contribution over the years

“He is a well-regarded, respected, and admired member of the club and the football fraternity. During his many years at Keilor Park, Paul has been a credit both on and off the pitch, respected by players, members, supporters, and the wider football community.

“His passion and dedication to the senior team has provided the right ingredients to build and develop a high performing team shaping the future of the Keilor Park Soccer Club.”
