Keilor has picked up where it left off with a convincing victory against Strathmore in the Essendon District Football League premier division on Good Friday.

The Blues were too strong for the Mores, defeating them 19.13 (127)-12.6 (78).

It was an eerily similar final score line to last year’s grand final success which saw the Blues cap an unbeaten season with a 20.7 (127)-11.9 (75) win against the Mores.

Keilor had nine goal scorers with Christos Kosmas booting six and Jack Brown kicking three.

In other Good Friday action, Craigieburn defeated Roxburgh Park, while Hillside beat Keilor Park.

The Eagles built into the match against the Magpies after trailing at quarter time. The Eagles then led by one point at half time, before a five goal to nil third quarter blew the game open.

The Eagles winning, 12.16 (88)-6.11 (47).

John Bellino and Brent Gordon kicked three goals each for the Eagles with Jacob Aquilina named their best.

Hillside put out a strong performance against the Devils.

The Sharks jumped out of the blocks and should have led by more early on if they had have kicked straight.

It was a matter of how much would the Sharks win by as they dominated the game. The final score was 11.23 (89)-1.3 (9).

Fort Caruso, Rob Castello and Josh Covelli kicked two each for the Sharks.

This weekend there is only one game, between Maribyrnong Park and Oak Park, with round one to officially kick off the following week.
