Brimbank Stallions will have to pull off a massive upset if they are to make the national stage of the knock out Australia Cup. The Stallions, one of three state league sides left in the competition, have been drawn to play National Premier League powerhouse Avondale in round seven of the Victorian stage. The Stallions are also one of three Brimbank sides left in the competition. Green Gully will host state league 1 side Whittlesea United, meanwhile Melbourne Knights will host Oakleigh Canons. In the other matches, Bentleigh Greens will host Banyule City and Dandenong Thunder will play Heidelberg United. The matchups will take place on June 14 and 15.

EDFL

It was Keilor that came out on top in the battle of the Keilor teams in the Essendon District Football League premier division. East Keilor stuck with Keilor for the first half, before the Blues kicked away in the second half, winning 23.8 (146)-14.12 (96). Todd Stevenson kicked six goals, while Kyle O’Connor was named best on ground. The Blues sit on top of the ladder, percentage ahead of Aberfeldie. In the women’s premier division, Keilor won the top of the table clash against Oak Park, 4.10 (34)-3.5 (23).

WRFL

St Albans returned to the winners list against Yarraville Seddon in the Western Region Football League division 1. The Saints were pushed all the way, winning 12.16 (88)-12.14 (86). Caroline Springs smashed Point Cook, while Deer Park lost to Altona.

FV

Caroline Springs George Cross came out on top in the top of the table clash with Banyule City in FV state league 1 north-west. The Georgies scored once in the first half, before putting the game to bed in the second half with a dominant display. The Georgies won 4-1. They now sit seven points clear on top. Third placed Brimbank Stallions had a 1-1 draw with Yarraville Glory, while Sydenham Park also had a draw.
