Baseball

Sunshine Eagles couldn’t put it together in the grand final in the Baseball Victoria summer league division 3 west women’s competition. The Eagles, who were the top team all season, were beaten by the North Western Titans 28-15 on Saturday. Despite the loss, it has been a successful season for the Eagles, in their return to the competition.

Bowls

The final bowl of the day decided the result of the Bowls Victoria weekend pennant premier division title. Melbourne led for most of the math against Deer Park, before Deer Park hit back late to take the lead in the 81st end. Two massive ends gave Melbourne back the lead by one shot. The final bowl by Melbourne’s Bryce Young would be enough to give Melbourne three points, to seal the 70 shots to 66 shots.
