Deer Park has welcomed the 2023 Western Jets’ captain Diesel Moloney to its list ahead of its first season in the Essendon District Football League premier division. Moloney is also a Footscray Victorian Football League listed player. The Lions said he will be an exciting addition to its young and talented list. Moloney is one of 14 players on the Lions list that have played at or are currently listed at VFL level. He was a Vic Metro representative in both under-17s and 18s, also having won two league best and fairest in his junior years in the Western Region Football League.
