FFA Cup: Melbourne Knights class shines through

Alex Dao and his Melbourne Knights teammates moved safely through to the fifth round of the FFA Cup with a 4-1 win against Melton Phoenix last week.

The Knights didn’t have things all their own way against their state league 4 opponents and were forced to fight hard in a tough first half.

But class eventually prevailed with the Knights booting three second-half goals to secure the win.

Andrew Barisic was a stand-out for the Knights, scoring a hat-trick to continue his side’s strong start to the season.

The Knights, second on the National Premier League table, take on ninth-placed Dandenong Thunder this week.
