Big V: Keilor Thunder men struck down, women win

Keilor Thunder couldn’t match it with top-of-the-table Casey Cavaliers in men’s Big V division 2 on Saturday night, losing 63-52.

The Cavaliers led at every break and had 17 more scoring shots than the Thunder, including eight in the first quarter.

Carlo Grossi top-scored for the Thunder with 12 points. The loss, the Thunder’s third in a row, leaves them in fifth position.

Thunder’s women’s side won a thriller against Southern Peninsula Sharks on Sunday in division 1.

In a low-scoring affair, both teams struggled with their shooting percentage.

The Thunder came from behind at three-quarter time to win 55-52.

Jessica Francke top scored with 19 points.
