The Ashes is just weeks away and a much anticipated T20 Big Bash season is also upon us, and this time it’s free on our TVs.
Then there’s the ICC One Day International World Cup that’s just around the corner.
While there is much to look forward to on the Australian cricket calendar, there are big challenges as well.
The Australian team is in a rebuilding phase after a generation of dominance, and fans are impatient. Some are saying the cricket calendar is just too crowded.
What does cricket’s future hold? Can it maintain its position as Australia’s leading national game?
Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland, former Australian captain and now talent identification specialist Greg Chappell as well as sporting scribe Greg Baum will come together to tackle the big issues at the Melbourne Press Club lunch Ashes to Bashes.
Moderated by sportscaster Tiffany Cherry, the lunch will be held at the Members Dining Room at the MCC Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Cost: $95 members; $140 non-members Corporate table of 10 for $1300.
