Green Gully Cavaliers has left its sixth spot open to a raid from sides outside the Victorian Premier League top six.
The Cavaliers were disappointing in a 4-1 road loss to Bentleigh Greens at Kingston Heath Reserve on Friday night.
The Cavs, who led seventh-placed Hume City by two points on
Saturday, will finish the season with two games in five days against
Oakleigh Cannons (away, tomorrow night) and Dandenong Thunder (home,
Sunday).
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are the champions of the FFV state
knockout cup, defeating the Thunder 3-1 in the final at Knights Stadium.
Jason Hayne fired in a double for the Cavs.
