KEILOR Thunder has upset the apple cart in the Big V basketball men’s division 2.
A stirring 65-62 win over ladder leader Pakenham Warriors away at The Coliseum on Saturday night has edged the Thunder closer to a finals berth.
The Thunder had to defend as the Warriors made a late run, but the visitors held on by three points.
Peter Leppik made the most of limited court time for the Thunder with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Matthew Jukes was important with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Brent Radoslovic filled the stat sheet with 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Andrew Freeman was also effective with 12 points and eight rebounds.
The Thunder, two games inside the top four, can make a play for the top two when they meet second-placed Melton Thoroughbreds on Saturday night.
