Brimbank’s youth will soon have a new space to relax.
The Sunshine Youth Space will officially open its doors next month and to celebrate, will be holding a launch party on Saturday, May 26 from 11am-2pm.
Co-ordinator Cassie Galliott said the launch will have something for everyone.
“There’s going to be a free barbecue, live music, games and competitions with great prizes, including sports merchandise from teams including Melbourne City,” she said.
“We’ve been working incredibly hard for the past month to get this all together, it’s going to be a great day.”
Regular sessions will begin the following week, to be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3.30-6pm and Saturdays 1-4pm.
Ms Galliott said the centre fills a gap in Brimbank’s youth services. The Sunshine Youth Space is located at 28 Withers Street, next to the Sunshine Uniting Church.
