The substation was installed in November.

Electrical works are set to run until late February.

This will include excavation works between Sydenham Road and the rail corridor to enable upgrades to underground power cabling and electrical supply equipment.

Landscaping and reinstatement works also got underway which includes the planting of new native grasses and the construction of new footpaths, gutters and fencing.

Sewerage pipe upgrades are set to start in March.

Works at St Albans Road also got underway this week.

The works include excavation and conduit installation works and landscaping works.

Substation building works include building amenities, cables and electrical equipment inside the substation building.

Works on the site are expected to run until the middle of the year.

Works on both sites are expected to generate medium to high levels of noise, dust and vibration.

Most of the work will be done during 7am to 6pm Monday and Friday. There will be some work on weekends.
