Working bee

Locals can join the Friends of Kororoit Creek (FOKC) for a social working bee where they will work on ‘the lizard lounge’ in Sunshine.

According to FOKC, the ‘lizard lounge’ has been transformed from a large patch of weedy grass into an oasis of indigenous wildflowers, grasses, shrubs and trees.

As part of the working bee, volunteers will partake in trimming back and tidying along paths.

Participants should bring their own gloves and water bottles, and are also recommended to wear long pants and long sleeve shirts as well as sturdy shoes.

Locals are also encouraged to bring any secateurs, shears or brooms they may have.

The working bee will take place on Friday 14 November from 10am-noon.

Entry to the site is between 25 and 27 Fraser Street, Sunshine.
