Many Braybrook residents will have to find somewhere else to buy their groceries, with the Braybrook Woolworths store to close its doors.
The store, which is on the corner of Ballarat Road and Ashley Street in the Braybrook Shopping Centre, will close this month.
A Woolworths spokesperson confirmed that the store, which had been open since 2001, would close this month.
“We’ve made the difficult decision to close our Braybrook store when the lease expires in October 2021,” the spokesperson said.
“All of our Braybrook team members will be offered redeployment to other stores in our network.
“We wish to thank our local customers for their support in shopping at our Braybrook store over the years.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to our other stores in the area.”
Residents who wish to still shop at Woolworths will have to shop at Sunshine Marketplace or Highpoint which are the nearest stores.
