Wool fleeced in Laverton North

Police are on the hunt for thieves who fleeced about $70,000 worth of wool from a Laverton North business over the weekend.

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit believe the unknown offenders broke into the Boundary Road premises about 3am on Sunday morning.

The offenders spent about three hours at the address and made off with approximately 50 bales of wool, valued at about $70,000.

At this stage, investigators believe the offenders may have fled in a large vehicle considering the substantial volume of the theft.
