Woman dies in hospital following Derrimut crash

A 79-year-old St Albans woman has died in hospital following a crash in Derrimut last week.

Police believe a blue Toyota Corolla crashed with a number of stationary cars at a traffic light on the off ramp of the Western Freeway, on May 1, about 1pm.

The passenger of the Corolla, a 77-year-old St Albans man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Corolla, a 79-year-old St Albans woman, was taken to hospital where she died on May 3.

There were no other injuries.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
