A woman has been charged after allegedly being involved in a fatal collision at Sunshine West on Thursday, June 9.
The 22-year-old Wyndham Vale woman has been charged with registered owner failing to nominate driver, stating false name and address, possessing drug of dependence, possessing controlled weapon, breaching bail conditions and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
The charges follow a collision at the intersection of Links Street and Glengala Road just before 1am.
It’s alleged a white Audi sedan collided with a gold Honda sedan before both vehicles crashed into two parked cars on Links Road.
The sole occupant of the Honda, a 69-year-old Sunshine West man, died at the scene.
The 22-year-old occupant of the Audi stayed at the scene while a number of other occupants ran away.
They are yet to come forward to police and investigators are yet to establish who was driving the vehicle when the collision occurred.
Police have spoken to a number of witnesses but are still seeking more information.
