Witnesses sought after hit and run

Police are appealing for information following a hit and run incident involving a motorcycle and pedestrian in St Albans on Thursday.

A woman was crossing St Albans Road, heading towards Ginifer Railway Station, when she was hit by a red motorbike about 8.15am.

The woman was knocked to the ground and suffered serious injuries.

The motorcyclist left the scene without stopping, turning left onto Furlong Road, heading east.

It’s believed the motorcyclist was wearing full protective gear including a helmet. Witnesses have told investigators the riders’ clothes were possibly red, black and white.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, and particularly anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident, to come forward.
