Officers from the VIPER Taskforce have arrested four men and seized a dismantled clan lab at a St Albans property as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

The VIPER Taskforce, along with the Public Order Response Team and the Clandestine Labs Squad, executed six search warrants at locations in St Albans, Tullamarine, Keilor Downs, Tatura, Wallan, and Strathmerton on July 3.

Officers seized over 2kg of methylamphetamine, approximately 4.5 litres of 1.4 butanediol and a quantity of amphetamine during the warrants.

Officers also discovered ammunition, a taser, approximately $2000 cash, and around 800 litres of herbicide across the six locations.

A 46-year-old man from Keilor Downs was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of 1.4 butanediol, and was bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in July.

A 39-year-old Wallan man and a 55-year-old St Albans man were both released pending summons.

A 31-year-old St Albans man was also arrested, before being released pending further enquiries.
