Vietnamese events raise $100k for hospital

The Sunshine Hospital Critical Care Appeal has raised more than $100,000 in just three months through donations and the efforts of its Vietnamese community.

Fundraising events included a big lunch and Vietnamese market, part of the Sunshine Lantern Festival, which netted more than $12,000. Donor Kym Vu contributed $20,000.

The funds, to help the hospital buy equipment, will be further boosted with proceeds from a banquet dinner on Sunday, October 18, which is expected to raise an extra $50,000.

Tickets can be bought via 8345 7663, or email daniel.crabb@wh.org.au
